Music makes you smarter!
We know that Movement is the Key to Learning (Carla Hannaford). Each class contains a variety of seated and movement activities for children to learn and grow using music as the key. Imagine your child leading the classroom parade while we play sandblocks in time with the music. You are thinking it’s time for a quick photo using your iPhone, while we are celebrating:
1) Independence – Your child feels safe in our classroom and secure enough to move without you by his or her side the whole time.
2) Self-confidence to get out front and lead the group.
3) Practicing Steady Beat with the whole body not only makes us smarter (Wolfbrown, 2016), yet invites the class to “entrain” to the beat so that our hearts and the movements of the instruments are in synch.
4) Community building – Children that sing and move together become friends. Empathy and encouragement follows because of the focus we place on it in our classrooms!
5) Progression – not only are we preparing the child for the next level of Kindermusik, but we are also preparing him for Formal Music Instruction, too. How cool is that!

We offer Kindermusik for babies to age 7 with locations in McMurray (Valley Brook Road), Mt. Lebanon (Lebanon Shops Plaza), Robinson (near Settlers Ridge), and Squirrel Hill.

We offer violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, trumpet, trombone, and tuba.
