Disney On Ice Review

of Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes

March 4, 2015
The magic of Disney has come to Pittsburgh but just for this week. Tinkerbell, Minnie, and Mickey opened the show as we've come to expect and look forward to. If you've never been to Disney On Ice or have been to the show a few times before and are wondering if it is worth it to go, the answer is YES!

Many of the numbers were totally redone. Prince Eric opened The Little Mermaid scene and the colorful costumes under the sea had a different twist this year. I don't remember seeing Sleeping Beauty in the past. The best was when Maleficent turned into a dragon and all the little kids screamed. I love kids and hate when they are scared but I didn't hear any crying, just surprised shrieks. My niece (and son) looked petrified but when we asked her what her favorite part was she said Sleeping Beauty, so it must not have been too bad! You may want to prepare your kids for that if they tend to get scared of the evil queen.

Frozen stole the show. I mean, it is still so popular and the first time it has been on ice, so it was highly anticipated from the moment we walked in and saw the ice castle. Great music, skating, costumes, what's not to love? Don't miss your chance to see the show while it is in Pittsburgh with 8 more performances now through Sunday. Click here for more show details.
