Learning with Harmony is a Montessori school. We offer Kindergarten Readiness for children preparing for the next level. Our school attends field trips throughout the year that gives the students hands-on experience for learning and exploring.
Our school holds 2 sessions per day, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The first session is in the morning from 9:00-11:30am and the second session is held in the afternoon from 12:30-3:00pm. Doors will open promptly at 8:55am and 12:25 pm.
Our program consists of the following activities:
Show and Tell: The children bring in one item to school monthly to share with the class
Story Time: Reading to the children is an important part of each day.
Exercise: The children exercise their large and small muscles ever day to fun songs which include Raffi, Hap Palmer, etc.
Teacher Demonstration: The children are shown a new activity, which is added to the Shelves.
Independent Time: The children work with activities on the shelves.
Snack: We Enjoy a snack provided by one student each day.
Calendar: Every day we review the month, day, date, holidays & weather.
Free Play: Inside or outside play is a highlight of the children daily. Play helps foster social development.
Special Art Projects: Two or more art projects are completed each month.
Circle Time: Songs, Rhymes, and Instruments are utilized.
Readiness: The children are engaged in lessons in preparation for Kindergarten.
Dismissal
We also incorporate multiple field trips each year into our program. In addition, we have the children’s speech, hearing, and vision tested each year. Your signature is required on the Emergency Hospital Form. In an emergency, your child will be taken to Canonsburg Hospital, unless you specify otherwise. Please write this request on the enclosed Emergency Hospital form.
There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee. The monthly tuition is $135.00. For your convenience, we also plan to offer different payment options starting in the 2018/2019 school year. There is a 10% discount if more than one child is attending, and additional discounts if you pre-pay the year’s tuition at the beginning of the school year.
