SUMMER CAMPS at Peters Township Parks and Recreation

Here's a look at some of the Summer Camps offered through Peters Township Parks & Recreation.

CHESS CAMP(AGES 5 TO 12)
The Knight School Pittsburgh: a unique approach to teaching chess to kids! Our amazing program is revolutionary and has enjoyed fantastic success through twelve years of innovation, professionalism, and high-energy, amusement park-like fun, engaging kids early with this intellectual game!

JUMP START SPORTS: ULTIMATE WARRIOR (AGES 7 TO 11)
This high-intensity camp is designed to develop strength, mental resilience, and warrior-like skills. Each day features a mix of martial arts, physical challenges, and strategic games, culminating in an “Ultimate Warrior Challenge”.

LET IT GO THEATER CAMP (AGES 7 TO 12)
Come sing and dance with your favorite Frozen characters. Games, simple costumes and prop
construction will be used in a final performance for family on the last day.

JUMP START SPORTS: SPORTS AROUND THE WORLD (AGES 4 TO 6)
This week long camp introduces participants to a variety of global sports. Each day is themed around a different region, featuring sports like soccer, American football, and lacrosse. Activities include skills training, cultural education, and mini-games, with the week ending in a mini-Olympics.

SUMMER DAY CAMPS (AGES 7 TO 11)
Three 1-week sessions for children who enjoy games, crafts, sports, hikes, special visitors and more! Each week is themed and includes camp activities that are fun for everyone. Pre-registration required.

MAD SCIENCE - SCIENCE SURPRISE!
Offers multiple camps.

PLAYGROUND PALS (AGES 4 TO 6)
Three 1-week sessions for children who enjoy games, sports, crafts and using their imagination. This is a great introductory camp for our littlest campers. Pre-registration required.

BLUEBERRY’S KITCHEN: KIDS COOKING MINI-CAMP (AGES 6 TO 12)
Mrs. Blueberry and friends will whisk up delicious treats, healthy snacks and side dish that can be made with simple fresh ingredients. Students will learn hands-on skills and enjoy their creation at the end of class.
