Healthy Holiday Hacks For Kids

November 27, 2019

Holiday break is coming fast and it’s important to plan ahead and keep your kids staying active and entertained. Here are some family fun activities to do with your children!

  • GET CREATIVE! Kids love to show off their creative side and what better way to do so than fall themed arts and crafts. Get outside and collect some beautifully colored leaves to make a collage . OR, bring out the construction paper and crayons to make some fall decorations to hang around the house
  • TRY NEW RECIPES! Fall foods are a great thing to introduce to a child especially when you can make the foods yummy and fun. Get creative with pumpkins, apples, squashes and other fall foods that your children will enjoy making and eating!
  • THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Kids love the outdoors and this is a great way for your entire family to be together while getting some fresh air and exercise. Take a bike ride around the neighborhood, enjoy a nature walk in the park or set up an outdoor obstacle course in your backyard.

UTILIZE INDOOR FACILITIES! Many community centers offer fun exercises, activities, games and sports for kids of all ages to keep them staying active and having fun. Check out some events going on for families and youth in your area.

At the Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center we offer many programs for kids of all ages! Check out our youth classes on Tuesday nights for ages 7-13, or our toddler/preschool age classes on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 – 10:00am. Or book a holiday swim or gym party with us, offered Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 – 7:00pm or 7:45 – 9:45pm!
