Toys for Tots

Frank Sarris Public Library

November 25, 2020

We are happy to partner with Local Girl Scout Brownie Troop 16106 in their Toys for Tots toy drive.  For the month of November, you may drop off a new, unwrapped toy in the Toys for Tots collection box located near the main circulation desk on the first floor of the library.  Please consider helping Troop 16106 create a little magic this Christmas!

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime. We believe it is such experiences that help disadvantaged children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community. Last year the Marine Corps fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of 7 million less fortunate children in 792 communities nationwide. Since 1947 over 244 million children have been assisted.  For more information, visit www.toysfortots.org

Toys may be dropped off during library operating hours which are Monday and Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The library will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  We will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28.  Stay healthy and safe over the holiday!
