Chartiers Township invites you to consider an outdoor day camp that runs all summer long; June 7, 2021 to August 13, 2021! Crafts, organized games, and outdoor fun await you in Arnold Park. Camp is open to ages 5 – 11 and families do not have to live in the area to participate.
Chartiers Summer Playground focuses on capturing the spirit of summer and provides enriching, challenging, and active experience for time spent out of school. After much of 2020 was spent indoors, say goodbye to sitting in front of the computer/TV! Our campers love our non-stop excitement weekly themes, water days, field trips, park exploration, guest speakers, and playground time.
Parents should expect to send their child with a bagged lunch, reusable water bottle, closed toed shoes, and a mask each day. Rainy days are spent inside the Chartiers Township Community Center. Campers can attend one week or all 10 – we’re flexible!
All staff are required to have clearances and camp will be following recommendations provided by the CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health regarding COVID19.

To complete your registration please mail a $25 registration fee, payable to Chartiers Township, to 2013 Community Center Drive, Houston, PA 15342. To make a cash payment in person please drop off at the Chartiers Township Municipal Building (2 Buccaneer Drive, Houston, PA 15342) Monday – Friday 8am-4pm as the Community Center does not currently have office hours.

WEEKLY COST:
There will be an additional $10 field trip fee and $5 (part-time 1-3 day attendee) or $10 (full time 4-5 day attendee) early drop off/late pickup per child. Payments are made 1 week in advance so we can prepare for staffing.
All families must pre-register, pay, and attend our parent meeting to participate. There are no drop offs permitted.
There is a mandatory parents meeting Wednesday, May 26 at 6:00pm OR you can attend the same meeting via Zoom Thursday, May 27 at 7:00pm.
