Pumpkin Patch Trolley Begins

AT THE PENNSYLVANIA TROLLEY MUSEUM

By Pennsylvania Trolley Museum October 13, 2021

Brisk mornings and the changing colors of the leaves means that Fall is in the air at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. We are busy preparing for our annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley which is running Friday through Sunday, October 15-17, and 22-24.

Visitors will ride on beautifully restored antique trolleys, decorated for the autumn season, down the tracks to the Trolley Display Building. While there, children can select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and families can tour our large collection of trolleys. There will be children’s games and complimentary fall themed refreshments, and children can even decorate their pumpkins. Add to the fall fun by dressing up in your favorite costume.

The event is scheduled to run from 10:00AM to 5:00PM each day. The last trolley of the day will leave for the pumpkin patch at 4:00PM. Admission to the Pumpkin Patch Trolley is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors (age 62+) and $13 for children (ages 3-15).  Each purchase of a child’s ticket includes a pumpkin; those who would like to purchase an additional pumpkin may do so for $3.00. Children under 3 are free, but require purchasing a pumpkin if one is desired. These tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.patrolley.org to purchase an additional pumpkin, please do so at the Visitor Center at the Museum. This admission also includes tours of the museum and unlimited rides on the trolleys. This event is made possible by sponsor, Sarris Candies.

During select dates of the Pumpkin Patch Trolley, the Washington County Fairgrounds will be hosting the Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival. This festival will run Friday through Sunday, October 15-17 and Saturday through Sunday, October 23-24. Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will be providing park and ride service for guests interested in parking in the museum’s parking lot and riding to the fairgrounds. This park and ride service will cost $3 person and children under 3 are free. This service does not represent or include the Pumpkin Patch activities going on during the Pumpkin Patch Trolley.

The Museum is open to the public through December 19. Hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (10-4), September thru December.  Check the museum website for information about the 2021 Santa Trolley and its online ticket sales.
