Santa Claus Is Coming To Pennsylvania Trolley Museum

See him on the Santa Trolley

By Pennsylvania Trolley Museum November 6, 2024

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s stockings are hung by the trolleys with care, knowing that Santa Claus will soon be there! The merriest man himself will be visiting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during their annual Santa Trolley. Join the museum during November 29 & 30, December 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 & 22 for this spectacular event that runs from 9AM-5PM. Please view the website listing for exact departure times. Guests will have the opportunity to climb aboard a restored streetcar that will transport them on a 4-mile trolley ride. While aboard, visitors will get to meet Santa Claus and a few of his friends! Santa will be happy to have visitors take a picture with him.

Visitors can stop by the museum’s large Lionel toy train layout and view the wonderful LEGO layout built by Steel City Lug, Pittsburgh Area’s Adult LEGO User Group. Children can enjoy holiday coloring pages, and everyone can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. Tickets include a second festive trolley ride aboard the Yuletide Shuttle. We will also have our Trolley Display Building open during Santa Trolley so visitors can experience the rest of our collection as well!

We are grateful to our Santa Trolley Diamond Sponsor, Washington Financial Charitable Foundation, for their generous support.

Admission for Santa Trolley is $25 for adults, $24 for seniors (62+) and $23 for children aged 3-15; children under 2 and under are free but must ride on an adult’s lap. This admission will include your trip on the Santa Trolley, trips on the Yuletide shuttle, and access to the open exhibits at the Museum. This event is extremely popular, and we strongly suggest advance ticket purchases be made online due to the limited seating. The tickets may be purchased on the museum’s website at www.patrolley.org.

During the month of December, the Museum will also be hosting its Trolleys and Toy Trains event, held on Fridays, December 6, 13, & 20, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Visitors to this event will be able to ride on our decorated trolleys and view the toy train layouts. Admission for Trolleys and Toy Trains is $20 for adults, $19 for seniors and $15 for children ages 3-15; children 2 and under are free.

The Museum is currently open during our fall seasonal hours, which are Friday through Sunday, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Check the Museum website for information about the 2024 Santa Trolley and its online ticket sales. Note: we will be closed December 27-29.

New in 2025: PTM will be open Thursday-Sunday beginning January 2, 2025, through Memorial Day, and September-December. The Museum will be open Tuesday-Sunday from June to August.
