It can be hard to explain Kindermusik until you've experienced it.

It's a toddler watching carefully before deciding they're ready to join.
It's a preschooler offering an idea and discovering that their teacher wants to hear it.
It's singing, moving, listening, exploring instruments, laughing together, and learning through play.
And for 45 minutes, it's a chance to put the rest of the day aside and simply be with your child through music.
There is so much happening inside those 45 minutes. Children are building musical skills while developing language, coordination, listening, confidence, creativity, and the ability to learn alongside others.
But there's also something that's harder to put into words.

Starting Preschool? Keep Kindermusik
Starting preschool is a big milestone.
New teachers. New friends. New routines. New expectations. New spaces to navigate.
There is so much new for a three-year-old.
That's one reason we love the combination of Preschool + Kindermusik.
Kindermusik can remain a familiar part of your child's week while they adjust to everything that's changing. And within our small classes, children have another important place to practice the very skills they're beginning to use at preschool.
They listen to one another. Take turns. Make choices. Contribute ideas. Solve little problems together. And discover that their ideas can influence what happens next.
Our teachers intentionally create opportunities for children to contribute rather than always telling them exactly what to do. In that kind of environment, children begin to develop the confidence to share an idea, try something new, and eventually step into leadership.
And, of course, they're doing all of it through music, movement, instruments, stories, and play.
Preschool brings a wonderful new world into your child's life.
Kindermusik gives them another small, familiar place to practice becoming the person they're growing into.

But What Do I Do With the Sibling?
It's one of the very real questions families face when planning fall activities.
You'd love to bring one child to Kindermusik, but there's another little person whose schedule has to work, too!
We have several ways to make Kindermusik easier for the whole family.
Look for concurrent classes. At select times, siblings can attend different age-appropriate Kindermusik classes at the same time. One trip to the studio. Two children making music!
Have a child in Levels 3–5? These classes include independent learning time for the enrolled student, followed by Sharing Time with their grown-up. Younger siblings are welcome to join you for Sharing Time.
Because sometimes the question isn't “Do we want to do Kindermusik?”
It's “How can we make Kindermusik work for our family?”
And we're happy to help you find the answer.
