This summer festival honors the significant period of America’s early days through historic reenactments, history and heritage displays, street theater performances, children's area, music, food and libations, all the while shining a national spotlight on the city, county and region.
The festival is always the 2nd weekend in July in Washington, Pa.
The festival takes place along Main Street, between Wheeling and Maiden Streets.
The main events take place on Saturday. Including Lil' Rebel Area (children's area)
The Washington Business District Authority puts on a community parade Saturday morning. The Bradford House and the Whiskey Rebellion Education and Visitor Center are open for tours during the day on Saturday.
And then Saturday concludes with a music headliner.

The Whiskey Rebellion Festival celebrates the heritage and unique character of the region by focusing on the historical significance of the Whiskey Rebellion, a history that is exclusive to western Pennsylvania and primarily Washington County. The festival honors the significant period of America’s early days through historic reenactments, period exhibitions and demonstrations, family fun, frontier art, heritage music and food, all the while shining a national spotlight on the city, county and region. Community focused entertainment combines with nationally renowned artists to create a festival that acknowledges the past, celebrates the present and looks toward the future.
