The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust  presents the 26th annual Pittsburgh International Children’s Festival, Wednesday, May 16, through Sunday, May 20, 2012, at the University of Pittsburgh Theaters and Schenley Plaza.  Programming will showcase  international and local theater premieres, including a brand new interactive luminarium installation on the festival grounds.   Giant Eagle is the lead sponsor of the 2012 Pittsburgh International Children’s  Festival.

Kid's Bowl Free!


Local Center Participating

The Kids Bowl Free program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Children whose age does not exceed a limit by a participating bowling center are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations.

Saturday, June 2 - Global Goals Free Clinic

Soccer Shots clinic is 30-minute soccer session.  A $10 donation is suggested and will be donated to Global Goals. The funds raised for Global Goals will be used for a soccer field being built by the US Soccer Foundation in an underserved area in the United States. The funds will also aid Amandla EduFootball, an organization that works in some of the most impoverished places in South Africa by serving youth through soccer programs, as well as mentoring and education provided alongside the sport.

Sunday, June 10 - Joyful Noise Worship

This Worship Service, held on the second Sunday of every month at 1:00 PM, is designed for families with members on the autism spectrum but is also ideal for young children who may appreciate being able to move around during worship.
Please join us for a service in which movement and noise are an expectation, not an interruption. Rhythm instruments accompany most songs, and the Circle Time children's sermon is interactive.

Egg Scramble Muffins


My kids LOVE eggs! But do I want to make them every single morning? Nope! So I threw something together a few weeks ago and they were a huge hit! AND I can make a whole pan of them and have several breakfasts and even a quick lunch or dinner, if I want!

Moon Dough

I found this recipe for moon dough/cloud dough on Pinterest! It peaked my interest so we spent an afternoon playing in it.  It's really easy to make and both of my kids had a ball playing in the stuff. This could also be a great activity one day on Spring Break!

  • 1-2 cups of baby oil
