Baby A Baby B What will they be?
I have become super addicted to Pinterest while planning this party. Who am I kidding? I was anyway, but especially in the past month. There are so many cute ideas and I wanted to do them all. I had shown my mom some wreaths I liked on Pinterest (you can check out this board here). She went out and got supplies to make them and showed up with them while visiting for a few days. The material wasn't quite the same as what was pictured so we improvised. Once we figured out that the material she had wasn't going to give us the same look, we came up with our own design. My daughter was so excited to help that I let her and grandma take this one on themselves. I had enough other stuff to take care of! My 7 year old was so proud of her work and so was I – it's beautiful!
I had these vases that I use for my daughter's birthday parties. In the past I've made sugar cookie flowers and decorated them so beautifully that it takes hours and tons of frustration. Not happening this time – don't need that kind of stress while pregnant. These were still decorated and in a box I keep birthday supplies in. I just changed out the printable I found on Pinterest and found another cute idea that was SUPER EASY. I wet the tips of marshmallows with water and dipped them in these pretty pastel sugar sprinkles. Once they dried, I pushed them into the lollipop sticks and that was it! The printables I used for this party can be found on this website and are free.
These little buckets were left over from my sister's baby shower. She knew she was having a girl so we just had pink and white. That's ok. I used the blue printable on the white and had my blue. I filled them with pink, white, and blue marshmallows. I was lucky that my party was right after the 4th of July. These were all perfect for my party, but you could use glass votives and fill with any kind of snack.
These pink and blue dipped Oreo's were a huge hit done by my girlfriend Alexis who is also a huge fan of Pinterest! She found these and volunteered to make them. I'm so glad she did! Everyone loved them and they looked so good on our pink and blue table. She said they were super easy to make and will do them in different colors for Christmas. You could easily do them in any color to fit your theme or your child's favorite colors.
This next idea is so easy that my 7 year old took this one on all by herself. She used Sharpie markers to color in the he and she - blue and pink. She loves helping with projects like this.
You can find all the ideas I got from my Pinterest board - better yet, just pin directly from here!
